Part III is the last video in a three part video series named : Primary Hyperparathyroidism – a Close Look At The History Of The NIH Guidelines And the Ongoing Trend From Reactive To Proactive. Dr. Politz from the Norman Parathyroid Center and Tampa General Hospital, talks about where the NIH guidelines came from and why, the percentages of people with parathyroid tumors that are outside some of these guidelines, and how endocrinologists can be proactive with this disease. Part III of this series focuses on the data from 10,000 patients in four areas: renal function, bone density, localizing tests and long term affects of hyperparathyroidism.
